KitsFlits

Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the KitsFlits mobile app for Android and iOS (the “App”) and the website kitsflits.co.za (together the “Service”), provided by KitsFlits (“we”, “us”). Together with our Privacy Policy they form the agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. The Service is not intended for children.

3. Your account

4. What the App provides

5. Your comments and conduct

You are responsible for everything you post. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, or use the Service to send:

You must also not impersonate others, try to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ accounts, interfere with or overload the Service, scrape it at scale, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Licence. You keep ownership of your comments. By posting you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and distribute them within the Service so the Service can work. The licence ends when you delete the comment or your account, except for copies already made as part of reports and ordinary backups.

6. Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can also report content, or ask us to take something down, through the contact form.

7. Advertising

The App is free and is paid for by advertising. Ads from Google AdMob appear in the news feed. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for the websites and offers they lead to. How advertising data is used is explained in the Privacy Policy; on iOS you choose whether to allow tracking.

8. Our rights and your licence

The App, its design, name, logo and our own content belong to KitsFlits and our licensors. We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your own devices for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the App or use it commercially without our written permission. Sharing an article’s link with friends is welcome; republishing the articles themselves is a matter between you and the publisher.

9. Copyright concerns

If you believe something in the Service infringes your copyright, use the contact form (subject “Copyright Concern”) or email us at the address below, identifying the work, where it appears, your contact details and a statement that you act in good faith and that the information is accurate. We will remove infringing content and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

10. Third-party services and app stores

The Service relies on third parties (including Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Netlify, MET Norway, news publishers and data providers) whose own terms apply to what they provide. These Terms are between you and us only. Apple and Google (and their app stores) are not parties to them, have no obligation to support the App, and are not responsible for it, though they may enforce these Terms as third-party beneficiaries where their app-store terms say so.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise that it will always be available, accurate or free of errors, or that content will always be current. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it. We may update these Terms; we will post the new version here, update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. If you keep using the Service after a change you accept it; if you do not, delete your account.

12. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties about it and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or data, or for anything you post or any third party’s content, forecasts, prices or advertising. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your rights under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 5, 8, 12 and 14) continue after that.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, unless a law that protects you says otherwise. If a provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
